I am looking to start up a new TT Series idea which is aimed at the local WOSCA clubs
Plan is to start of a weekly Time trial Series event on each Wednesday evening down the George Town Road
After every 3 or 4 weeks we would also include an open 10 or 25 TT down at the West Ferry or Eggy Park course
These would be under the TLI Banner
Myself and the Paisley Velo team would be organising all these events
incorporating the WOSCA Time trial championships 10 + 25 TT distance.
Plan is to keep the system easy to operate and cheap with limited hassle for the riders.
To start with I am looking for approval From Wosca and TLI to proceed starting events in April 2015 running through to September
7.5 Mile TT on every Wednesday evening
10 Mile and or 25 Mile TT every 3rd or 4th weekend which wont clash with other open events.
We would be looking for each Local club to provide a maximum of 10 entries
Any teams or clubs that cannot fill the maximum amount of gaps would then be open to any other rider first come first serve
WOSCA affiliated clubs/teams would be given priority
It would be in best interest to take out yearly membership with TLI, this would cost ï¿½10.00
There after you would only pay for your race entry
TLI do not have any registration or Levies
We would promote discounts for riders to do a block entry for the Entire Series of Time trials
Failing that Riders can pay on the day per race entered
Mid week TT ï¿½2.00 per rider
Weekend 10 or 25 ï¿½5.00 per rider
Day membership fee if not took out yearly membership ï¿½4.00 per event
We would also add in 2 up events as well as 4 up events based on the A77 or George Town
There would be no prizes after each event
The Prizes would be provided at the end of the TT Series
Medals and trophies would be handed out after each Championship event accordingly
We would apply a point system for each TT
We would have age related Prize and point categories
Novice and Vet Awards as well as the top 10 fastest time posted
Idea would be for riders to apply on line via the Paisley velo Forum
All Midweek TT start sheet and results would be posted online
All open 10 + 25 TT would follow the normal protocol
This is open to all the local clubs and teams
Events wold run from April through to September 2015
There is one Rule though!
if we have 10 or more clubs taking part then each week one of the 10 clubs would need to supply a minimum of 3 marshalls for the midweek and also contribute to marshalling at the 10 & 25.
Failing that would mean being omitted from the entire series
Marshalling and helping out at events is absolutely crucial
This is my plan and I am looking for your support so any positive feedback would be highly appreciated, even if it is constructive on a critical basis.
